The Heritage of Blood and Destiny novella takes place 100 years before the events of the main trilogy, with Nasila as the protagonist. It’s not necessary to read this in order to read the trilogy but I wanted my favourite character in the trilogy to have her own story so wrote this after I finished writing all 3 books.
